Whether you are an experienced longarm quilter, or you would like to try it for the first time, you are welcome to hire one of our machines. We have a Handi Quilter Moxie 15” longarm machine (with 10’ frame, laser pantograph, ruler base and rulers) available for rent.
Cost of Hire and Booking Information
Morning session from 09.00-12.00 – 650kr
Afternoon session from 12.00-16.00 – 750kr.
It is possible to book a morning session and an afternoon session on the same day. The price includes your very own quilt angel at hand to help you if needed, and enough thread to finish your project.
Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cookies are provided at the studio.
Using a Longarm Machine
If you have not used a longarm quilting machine before we recommend that you give yourself some extra time to be shown how to use it, as it is quite different from a domestic sewing machine. Choosing a Pantograph
Due to copyright laws you have to bring your own pantographs, here are two websites that I use who sell “self-print” pantographs, both have easy instructions to help you download and print the appropriate number of sheets. Urbanelementz.com has a fabulous range of self-print patterns, plus a large selection of free pantographs to try out. Quiltingpantographs.com also have some free patterns and a two-for-one offer.
Terms and Conditions
A deposit of 350kr is required to reserve rental time. If you cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel with less than 24 hours, we will move your deposit to a different date of your choosing but it will not be refunded. If you break the machine needle you will be charged 50kr for a replacement.
